Kitchen Update!

So there is only so much you can do when you can't paint and you have hideous cabinets and I have felt like my kitchen has been lacking lately. Therefore, I added a few things and I like it much better now. I just made these with wood, modpodge, and paint. I might add some flowers or something later.
I've also been wanting a chalk board in my kitchen for a while to write our weekly menu on. I found this awesome wooden tray at the antique store so I sanded it, painted it with cracking medium, and painted the center with chalk board paint. I love it!!
I also modpodged cute paper onto clothes pins and used yarn to hang up pictures above the cabinets. I was sick of them taking up my whole fridge. I like it because it looks like a border. My kitchen is more cheerful now!
Bulletin board redo with fabric and ribbon!
The wreath I made for Bunco. It is Styrofoam with lima beans hot glued on and then spray painted. I'm not going to lie, it was really hard for me to give this up...I guess I will have to make another for myself.
Doug got me a cake decorating kit for Christmas so I decided to try in out. My frosting wasn't stiff enough and I didn't have very much time to decorate...but I think it is cute. Lots of room for improvement.

The Latest Stuff

A Christmas present I made for Doug's sister and her family. I took the pictures at the graveyard on different head stones. I couldn't find a frame with that many slots so I put fabric on the back of the frame and glued the pictures onto it. I also painted a little design on it to spice it up.
I made these plates for the grandparents for Christmas. All I did was get Clark's foot prints on there using acrylic paint and then mod podged the fabric onto the plate. I had to make one for myself because they were so cute!
For my nephew's birthday I had painted some little paintings similar to this of a fire truck and cement truck (Tonka style) and he needed one more to make his room complete. I love how they turned out! I forgot to take pictures of the other ones.
Cute Valentine's Day Decorations. I painted the blocks and then used black paint to antique the edges and stuff. Then put vinyl on them.
I just took a Styrofoam cone I bought at the dollar store, painted it white, and hot glued conversation hearts onto it. Really easy and cute!
More vinyl blocks. I painted them and then mod podged paper onto them. You can't see the last E very well so I may have to redo that one. It is so fun actually having valentine's decorations now.
